Women's Day is a big deal here in Gulu, and working with an organization that is focused on Empowering Women made this day even more epic. Charissa and I headed to Awach district, 45 minutes outside town, with about 30 ladies from work to partake in the celebrations.
The best way I could describe this day would be : one big party, drumming, parade, insane, loud music, dancing, 95 degrees, I need more water, hot, bright clothes, a lot of children, more dancing, singing, chanting, hot, free crackers, free soda, insane.
