Having a nephew is a lot of fun. Not to mention a nephew that has better style than you do and the most hilarious personality. I love this kid!

recently...

 asami was in town with her bf (from sf) and wanted to take him on a good ol LA hike. We went to this trail out new the Palisades and had a really nice hike. It was hot hot but the view was worth it! And after we finished the hike we got smoothies so we were all happy campers haha.

D played in the VFW tourney this weekend and I was able to go watch his game on sat at this rad gym with like 10+ courts all with games going on. It made me miss playing bball, but then I remembered that i'm playing a co-ed tourney in november...and i also remembered how not in shape I am...oh great

 we got to go to the Boeing open house on sunday with Jen's parents. It was really cool, we even got to walk through a boeing c-17 cargo plane which was gnarly and straight out of some action movie! Hunty loved running around and looking up at the huge planes.

 ...and of course what would a sunday be without DIM SUM! We headed to this place in montebello 'ocean star' and you could tell it was good because there were at least 40 people waiting outside. Although this food looks crazy, I was actually able to eat a lot of it. the charsiu bao were the best!

last night I had perspectives class and everyone pick a week to bring snacks...I thought i'd show 

this photo because as my mom said, "this is a meal not a snack!" typical asian american church though lol!

baby lenya will be here in about 2months...you know what that means...preggy photo shoot! We walked around old Torrance and stumbled upon some great walls/benches etc and achieved the "urban photography session" we were going for hahhaa. more photos coming soon!

G+G

yesterday I stopped by G+G's house. I like going over there because they're both hilarious like "Jean go get amie two of those tamales.." or "here have a sip of my soda.." or "do you know how to make mexican rice? here look at page 98 I can show you." haha...I love how their love for their family is very evident. Theyre incredible generous people and I hope to someday give as much as they do. I'm thankful for the moment I get to have with G+G.

Being a bridesmaid is truly an honor. Weddings are magical, and to be able to stand there next to

someone you love so dearly and watch them experience the best day of their life - thats extra magical. 

Katelyn + Bradley's wedding day was truly something special. The day was clearly covered in prayer,

in love, in joy, and in celebration. We woke up rested, relaxed, and ready to go. 

We had breakfast downstairs, sipped on coffee, twirled in our dresses and watched as

 Katelyn transformed from miss laidback, iced coffee, shorts and a t-shirt kinda girl into a stunning, stunning bride.

the Zimmer wedding

Yesterday two of my favorite people got married! 

During my junior year of college I met Katelyn and Bradley at the same time...when we were all put on the same staff together as RA's. We worked together all year, planned events, lived life with one another, and slowly started to notice a sweet friendship forming between Kate and Brad. Fast forward to the end of junior year and somehow crazy Bradley had won over sweet Katelyn's heart and their love story began. Then, senior year, I was blessed enough to call kate my roommate and even got to help plan Bradley's proposal to her :) Needless to say, these two are so near and dear to my heart and their wedding was the most amazing celebration of love EVER!

so, another amazing part of celebrating the Zimmer wedding was being reunited with A LOT of people.

APU was such a special place to grow and meet some of my best friends, and my heart was so full

this weekend as I got to just sit and laugh with these people I love so dearly! We all congregated in Slo

this morning and sat around this big coffee table laughing about the wedding and how fun it was seeing

everyone. I absolutely cherish these friendships and love all of them so much!

 megan, todd, and nati...we were all on the same staff with katelyn and Brad and have all become

best friends. This moment was extra sweet because in January Todd will be going to North Carolina

for the next 3 years to be in his physical therapy program...so chances are this is the last time we'll all be

together for a while. We made sure to make it a sweet lasting memory :)

 ....aaaaand here's almost all of the gang that met up in slo. yup...even that back table is us. We kind

of invaded the place haha...and I feel so thankful for have shared this weekend celebrating Kate and Brad with the best crew!! 

daily routine

now that i'm home, I spend most of my day with this little stud. 

he's 2.5 and crazy/hilarious/smart/crazy 

currently, his favorite game is hide&seek where he hides in the same spot behind the

curtains in my closet and yells "DONT FIND ME DONT FIND ME" lol

when I give him a bocha bocha (bath) I always wrap him in the towel after

and call him "burrito baby" he loves it. and then he likes to run around nakey nakey

all over my room while we chase him around. Also, notice the shadowey-looking thing on my

left cheek...yup thats a burn mark from my curling iron. not the most graceful thing i've every done

considering i'm in a wedding this saturday! haha 

also hunty loves loves snacks. he's always running around saying, "WHATCHA EATING?"

or "CAN I HAVE SOME?" this was at ikea last night. 

anyway...tomorrow i'm heading up north for Katelyn and Brad's wedding weekend WOOHOO!

i'm so excited to be reunited with a lot of APU people...i'm be posting photos once im back!
